ARTCRANK NYC 2012 is now closed. Thanks to all of the artists who contributed posters and everyone who came out to see the show at Bicycle Habitat.
ARTCRANK NYC took over the SoHo location of Bicycle Habitat on Thursday, August 9, and New York’s cycling and creative communities came out in force. More than 1,000 people showed up to see a stellar collection of posters created by local artists. If you missed the poster party, check out the photos above to see all of the bike-inspired artwork, bike-lovin’ partygoers and attendant hijinks
Thanks to generous contributions by Widmer Brothers Brewing, Neenah Paper, Clif Bar, and Randolph Beer, we generated more than $2,000 to help Streetsblog and Streetfilms continue to inspire, shape and report on the movement to transform New York and other cities into better places to live, work and play.
This show was our first in New York, but it certainly won’t be our last. Plans for a 2013 edition are already underway, and we can’t wait to come back with an even bigger, better show. We’re profoundly grateful to our hosts at Bicycle Habitat, the volunteers from Streetsblog and Streetfilms, the artists, our amazing sponsors, and everyone who came out to welcome us to NYC. We capped off our stay with an epic Summer Streets ride that took us from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park and back — twice. Power to the pedal, Big Apple!
Please check back for updates, and follow ARTCRANK on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news.
