ARTCRANK LDN will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by UK artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters will be available for £30 each. Admission is free.
UPDATE: ARTCRANK is a show of bicycle-inspired poster artwork that introduces people to talented local artists and sends them home with affordable, original works of art. Since our 2007 debut in Minneapolis, we’ve held shows in bike-lovin’ cities like Portland, San Francisco, New York, Austin and Los Angeles. In 2013, we’re gearing up for our fourth show in London.
As of now, we’re deep in negotiations with a prospective venue, and won’t be announcing a show date until we have a final agreement. But in order to have a poster show, we need poster artists. So if you’re a poster artist in the UK who loves bikes and art, we want to hear from you.
CALL FOR ENTRIES:
That’s right, we are now accepting artist submissions for our 2013 show. To be considered for the show, send three digital samples of previous art and design work (URLs, JPGs, PDFs, etc.) to us via email.
While we definitely look for experience with screen-printing, letterpress and other craft printing techniques, your samples do not need to be posters and/or bike-related — just work that shows your skills and style. Please do not submit proposed/spec poster designs — only artists who are selected for the show will be asked to create new work.
