ARTCRANK DEN 2013 will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by Denver and Boulder artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters will be available for $40 each. Admission is free.
UPDATE: With the last traces of snow melting away on the streets of Denver, it’s time to start thinking about the Mile High City’s annual summer bike art blowout. That’s right, ARTCRANK is returning to Denver on Saturday, August 24 at TAXI in the renowned River North Arts District. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves: In order to have a poster show, we need poster artists.
CALL FOR ARTISTS We are now accepting artist submissions for our 2013 show. Please note that we have a strict locals-only policy, and will only consider artists who live and work in the Denver and Boulder areas.
To be considered for the show, send three digital samples of previous art and design work (URLs, JPGs, PDFs, etc.) to us via email.
While we definitely look for experience with screen-printing, letterpress and other craft printing techniques, your samples do not need to be posters and/or bike-related — just work that shows your skills and style. Please do not submit proposed/spec poster designs — only artists who are selected for the show will be asked to create new work.
The Call for Entries will close on Saturday, June 8 — submit your samples today!
We’re working with Clif Bar, Widmer Brothers Brewing and Neenah Paper to support Bike Denver, a bicycle advocacy organization that promotes and encourages bicycling as an energy efficient, non-polluting, healthy and enjoyable transportation alternative in and around Denver.
Please check back for updates, and follow ARTCRANK on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for the latest news. And if you’d like to see photos and videos from previous events, connect with us on Flickr and Vimeo as well. See you soon!
