ARTCRANK Austin features hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by 30 Austin-area artists. Limited edition, signed and numbered copies of all posters are available for $40 each. Admission is free.
UPDATE: The Opening Night Party for ARTCRANK Austin at Pine Street Station is in the books, and it was the stuff of legends. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up to support local art and drink craft beers by Widmer Brothers Brewing to support LIVESTRONG, the Austin-based cancer patient advocacy organization. We sold out of glasses, ran out of beer and sent hundreds of people home with brand new hand-made bike posters. It was a big, noisy, happy room full of bike art love, and we are deliriously exhausted.
But of course, the show must go on. The posters will be up and for sale at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop from Sunday, February 26 through Sunday March 18. Please note that all posters are limited editions: once a poster sells out, we can’t get more. If you missed the opening, get down to Mellow Johnny’s before your favorites go home with someone else.
A huge thanks to our awesome volunteers from AIGA Austin, the printing stalwarts at Industry Print Shop, and Darryl from Loving The Bike, who spread the word far and wide and handed out delicious goodies from Clif Bar.
Please check back for updates, and follow ARTCRANK on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news.
